Evening everybody and welcome to our last live blog of Euro 2012 as the champions will be decided when Spain and Italy collide in Kiev.
Spain, champions of not just the continent but the entire world, may become the best side of all time with a win tonight but up against Italy, the team they drew with 1-1 in the opening round of group games, it's not going to be easy.
So to the teams...
SPAIN: Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Xavi, Xabi Alonso; Iniesta, Fabregas, David Silva.
ITALY: Buffon; Abate, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Pirlo; De Rossi, Montolivo, Marchisio; Cassano, Balotelli.
It's going to be a tight one but personally I fancy Spain to do it. Just. They're going with 433/460 again and there are few surprises in the Italian side either.
So the closing ceremony is on - does anybody really care about them?
The teams are in the tunnel and ready to go but first the closing ceremony must make its way off the pitch.
3' - Decent start from Spain. Good movement from David Silva going forward is cut out by Bonucci.
5' - TV camera focuses on Carlos Puyol and David Villa in the crowd- how easy would it have been for Spain if they were fit?
6' - Sergio Ramos, who can finish brilliantly for a defender, blasts a free well over the bar.
7' - And now Ramos heads over from Iniesta's corner.
9' - Spain now tap it around at the back in the most casual of ways, loud chorus of Olé with the completion of every pass.
10' - They work it up the field eventually, Xavi and Iniesta having shots blocked before the former is played in by Fabregas and shoots just over.
12' - Balotelli and Cassano haven't really been given a chance to run at the Spain defence yet. You gotta feel that they need to be given as much service as possible if Italy are to upset Spain.
13' - Spain are ahead thanks to a David Silva header following some fantastic play from Fabregas, the Barca man playing a delightful cross from the right on to Silva's crown.
16' - Italy free-kick - Balotelli runs over the ball and Pirlo takes it. Deflected off the wall for a corner and Pirlo takes. Casillas getting a hand to it and De Rossi's back sends the ball out for a goal-kick.
20' - Italy coming out of their shells a bit now but Spain still look a bit sharper. Iniesta heads towards goal and Pirlo is back to win the ball with a perfectly timed challenge.
21' - Giorgio Chiellini is coming off injured, Federico Balzaretti is coming on for him
24' - Casillas really hasn't had much to trouble him bar a corner so far. Spain looking at their best.
25' - But Gerard Pique is now booked for taking down Antonio Cassano with a late challenge.
26' - Three Italian defenders are needed to shut down David Silva as he gallops towards goal
29' - Cassano finally gets motoring as he checks his run inside the area before shooting low towards goal. Casillas gets down to save with little time to react. Much more promising from Italy.
33' - Casillas saves well from Cassano again and finally Italy show some intent.
35' - Normal service resumed now however, as Spain tap the ball around at ease before Silva is caught offside.
38' - Balotelli and Montolivo link-up well but Mario's shot is way over.
40' - Game over already? Jordi Alba races clear at a scintillating speed from left-back. Plays a one-two with Xavi and he scores his first goal for La Roja with a neat finish past Buffon.
44' - Of course Italy won't give up, Montolivo forcing Casillas to save with a belter from 25 yards, but Spain look a step (or maybe eight) above.
45' - Buffon saves from Silva.
HALF-TIME: Spain 2-0 Italy
They've got one hand grasping the trophy tightly at the break and unless they fall asleep and Italy step it up a gear, Spain will make history in an hour.
Italy have made their second sub - Antonio di Natale on for Cassano.
46' - And the Azzurri now get us underway for the final 45 minutes of the tournament.
46' - Di Natale's first involvement is a header over the bar.
47'- Spain look to add a third at the other end, Cesc Fabregas drilling wide.
